Les Ceramiques de Lussan Quail.
Smaller than guinea fowl and therefore sometimes easier to integrate into its interior.
You can compose a patchwork of contemporary colors.
Heidi Caillard built her farmhouse atelier in 1971, and her son Adrien’s commitment to her vision marks the second generation of this now-heritage brand. Modeled after the guinea hens/quails roaming their country garden in the South of France, the Caillards handcraft each statuette from native French soil. Their signature statue is a simple expression of the idyllic beauty of life in Provence. Inspired by the brilliant feathers of the breed and the painterly palette of the region.
Heidi Caillard studied fine art and ceramics from 1949-1962, and opened a small pottery workshop in 1968 in a village near Uzes, Southern France. Heidi developed a deep fondness for the little birds that ran around her garden and decided to create them in clay. As business thrived she moved her family to a larger farmhouse in Lussan, the picturesque walled medieval village in Provence. All their ceramics are handmade and hand-painted to a very high standard and are much sought after all around the world.
